Mercedes-AMG GT C Facelift Now in Malaysia for RM1.56 Million

A year after debuting new AMG GT cars (the GT S, GT C and GT R), Mercedes-Benz Malaysia have introduced facelifts of the GT C and GT R while dropping the more inexpensive GT S from their lineup altogether.

Exterior changes

Perhaps the most readily noticeable change comes in the headlights and taillights.

The LED headlights have got a three-chamber reflector layout with a light guide that works as a DRL, navigation light and signal light depending on necessity.

LED taillights now look more aggressive thanks to darker interior housings and a new, more 3 dimensional look. A new black diffuser is present at the rear too. The AMG GT C now has quad trapezoidal exhaust finishers to go with its AMG Performance exhaust system.

Also present is an asymmetrical wheel layout with new 19″ rims up front and 20″ ones at the rear in AMG cross-spoke pattern.

The GT C gets red brake callipers and a panoramic sunroof to complete the look.

Interior changes

This most recent facelift of the AMG GT C gives it a 12.3″ digital instrument cluster.

It comes with 3 AMG display styles (Classic, Sporty and Supersport).

Also new is a 10.25″ floating coloured TFT infotainment display with touch functionality.

Safety First

The AMG GT C gets Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, as well as convenience features like Parktronic parking assist, and cameras for both the front and rear.

Powertrain unchanged

The new AMG GT C retains the same 4.0L Biturbo V8 as before with 557hp and 680Nm of torque, paired to the same 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT. While tuning is unchanged, a new AMG Dynamics programme gives better management of power distribution and steering characteristics.
